The Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) program at Richlands High School has earned the highest possible rating of “Exceeds Standards” following its Unit Assessment conducted on April 8, 2026.
Richlands cadets have demonstrated exceptional performance and pride in achieving their unit’s goals, reflecting the program’s commitment to excellence. Under the instructional guidance of Senior Master Sergeant (Ret.) Clinton Vanover and Master Sergeant (Ret.) Robert Parker, the program impressed the evaluator with its strong cadet leadership, active cadet participation, and selfless community involvement. Richlands High School Principal Rickie Vencill said, “I’m so proud of our cadets! These students work so hard and are leaders among their peers.”
The AFJROTC program at Richlands High School continues to make a lasting impact on students and the surrounding community, fostering leadership, character, and a sense of purpose among its cadets.
